Homes for Good in February was inspired by my passion for the sport of golf and the many character and life defining experiences the game has given me over the years. I believe that the sport of golf, like all sports, holds a unique capacity to be a language of behavior, an authentic platform for social participation, and a narrative for helping impact and benefit communities here locally, and all over the world.
This month, please join me in supporting The First Tee of Phoenix and their mission to connect with and change the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
The First Tee of Phoenix positively impacts more than 140,000 kids each year making it one of the largest chapters in the country.
The First Tee of Phoenix isn’t stopping there: in 2018, they anticipate that number growing to over 160,000!
The First Tee has established NINE CORE VALUES – Responsibility, Integrity, Confidence, Sportsmanship, Judgment, Perseverance, Honesty, Respect, Courtesy – which are delivered through their programming with the goal of helping young people become more productive at school, at home, as we as more socially conscious citizens in their local communities.
Special thanks to Michael Tucker (pictured below), Director of Business Development & Outreach for all of your support and efforts in helping make this partnership happen. You and all of your staff are true heroes in our community!
My goal for February is to pay it forward by using my open house and grassroots marketing model to raise a minimum of $115, which will sponsor a First Tee of Phoenix membership for ONE child for an ENTIRE YEAR. With Austin Bates and V.I.P. Mortgage Inc matching all donations as my title sponsor, that means at least two scholarships for two deserving kids!
I would also like to thank the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale for the work and fundraising that was accomplished this past month. It was a privilege representing you in the community, and I look forward to continuing to build off of the good and the relationships that were established!
