Lovepup - October - Homes for Good

Homes for Good was inspired this month by my passion for dogs, combined with the recommendation from a friend, colleague and #LOVEPUP Alumni, Kim White.  2 years ago October, Kim and her family adopted Happy into their home, and have been ambassadors of #LOVEPUP ever since.

#LOVEPUP is a 501c3 dog rescue that saves dogs and socializes them in an at home environment while serving as a resource to the rescue community.  It’s real life living for each of these dogs before placement!  Since being founded in 2015, #LOVEPUP has helped rescue and rehome over 700 dogs.

#LOVEPUP was founded here in Phoenix by Phoenix native, JohnJay and his wife Blake Van Es. All of the #LOVEPUP dogs live at the Van Es residence until their forever home is found. During this time, the dogs not only receive lots of love and attention, but they are also evaluated by a full-service vet, receive up-to-date shots and any other necessary medical procedures (including spay/neuter and microchipping) before being placed with their new family.

Special thanks to #LOVEPUP Board Member, Abby Leadon, for all of your support and efforts in helping make this partnership happen.  You and your team are heroes to so many families and furry friends here in our community!  It is an honor to have the opportunity to use my platform of real estate and Homes for Good to support such an inspiring organization and help share your story!

“Every dog deserves to find love”

Through my business model of regular open houses and daily real estate activities and conversations, I hope to not only raise funds but also help educate and bring additional awareness on the good work #LOVEPUP is doing as a dog rescue foundation.  With Austin Bates of V.I.P. Mortgage matching all donations as my title sponsor, that means more opportunity to help make a significant impact.

The impact of the dollars raised over the course of the month will be as follows:

  • $10 puppy pads
  • $30 puppy pads + dog food
  • $75 dog food, vaccines + dog bed
  • $100 dog food, vaccines, dog bed + microchip
  • $150 dog food, vaccines, dog bed, micro chip = grooming
  • $200 dog food, vaccines, dog bed, treats, micro chip, grooming + spay/neuter

I would also like to thank my friend Randy Spencer, Partnerships/Fund Raising, Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock  for the work and fundraising accomplished this past month which totaled $1,000 in support of art, music and dance programs and for teens to create healthy snacks and drinks with a new juice bar at Alice Cooper’s The Rock Teen Center.  It was a privilege representing you and your story in the community, and I look forward to continuing to build off of the good and the many established relationships!

I am often asked how people can get involved and really there are so many ways. You can donate through my website, but you can also nominate a local organization. However, perhaps the most impactful way you can help is to participate and to share.  Share these stories, attend my open houses, talk to people, tell them how they can get involved and help me affect real and lasting change.
